What do I do with SDS for chemicals that we no longer use?

Archive it, rather than leaving it active or deleting it outright — this keeps your active library and restricted-chemical checks focused on what's actually in use today, without losing the record:

  1. From "All my SDSs" or Manage SDS Library, open the SDS's actions menu and choose Archive SDS 1
  2. It moves out of your active list into the location's Archive folder — searches, counts, and restricted-chemical checks no longer include it
  3. Need it back? Restore it from the Archive page at any time
  4. Sure you'll never need it again? Open the Archive page and choose "Delete Permanently" — this cannot be undone

  • 1 Archive SDS — moves it out of your active library into the Archive folder

This is the same first step as permanently deleting an SDS — the difference is simply whether you take the second, irreversible step or just leave it safely archived.
