Open "Manage Stock" on the product's location entry, choose the stock type that applies (see General, Container, and Batch Stock), then use "Change amount" to log a change using one of four change types:
- 1 New arrival — stock received from a supplier or transferred in
- 2 Usage — stock consumed in normal operations
- 3 Disposal — stock discarded or destroyed
- 4 Adjustment — a manual correction, for example after a physical count finds a discrepancy
Every change you log is kept in a change log you can view (and export) from the same view, so you have a running audit trail of how the quantity moved over time.
There's currently no dedicated button to delete or remove an individual Container Stock (or Batch Stock) entry outright — this has been registered as a feature request, and a proper delete option is planned. Until then, there are two ways to handle it: (1) open the chemical → Change amount → select the entry → choose Disposal, or Adjustment with reason "Counting error," and remove all containers — the entry stays visible in the list at zero rather than disappearing, and the same fix applies if a container size was entered incorrectly (zero out the wrong entry, then create a new one with the correct size); or (2) email SDS Manager support with the chemical names and locations and the team will remove the entries for you directly in the backend.
