How can I add an SDS to multiple locations in one operation?

The first time you add a brand-new SDS, it's added to just the one location you were in. To fan it out to others afterward — rather than repeating the whole import for each one — use Copy SDS instead:

Find the SDS in that location's library, open its row-level actions menu (the ⋮ icon) and choose Copy SDS. A location picker opens with a checkbox for every location and sub-location 1 — tick as many as you need, then click Add 2 to place it in all of them in one operation.

  • 1 Location checkboxes — select every location this SDS should also appear in
  • 2 Add — copies it into every checked location

Leave the "Move all updated data from the current SDS to the copied version" option checked if you want the copies to inherit the source's attachments, edits, and risk evaluations too.

This is different from Move SDS in the same actions menu, which relocates an SDS to one different location instead of adding it to several. See also storing SDSs by location for how your location structure works overall, and moving many SDSs to another location at once if you need to relocate a batch rather than copy one.
