How can I add chemicals to SDS Manager without an SDS?

If you need to get a chemical into your library today but don't have its SDS yet, enter it manually and attach the real document once you track it down:

1 Add it manually

In Manage SDS Library, pick a location, click Add Safety Data Sheet, then "Show other methods to add Safety Data Sheets to location" → Manually enter product. Fill out what you know and click Save.

2 Track it down

Find your entry on the SDS Requests page and email the supplier asking for the SDS PDF — they're legally required to provide it.

3 Attach it once you have it

Back in Manage SDS Library, open that product's actions menu and choose Find SDS for product 1, then upload the file when prompted.

  • 1 Find SDS for product — lets you upload the real SDS once you've found it, replacing the placeholder entry

SDS Manager can also help if you need to import a large batch of products like this at once — ask your account contact.
