Go to SDS Admin → Filter and check the box next to any SDS records you want to act on (or the header checkbox to select every row currently listed). A Bulk Action dropdown appears with five options 1 2 3 4 5:

- 1 Move SDS to another location — relocates every checked record to one destination
- 2 Copy SDS to another location — same location-picker as Move, but adds the checked records to the destination instead of relocating them; the originals stay put
- 3 Move to archive — archives every checked record in one operation
- 4 Show differences between the two SDS — a read-only, field-by-field comparison; requires exactly two records checked
- 5 Set custom field — writes one value into a chosen custom field across every checked record at once
Option 1 gets its own full walkthrough — see moving multiple SDS to another location at once. The other four are covered below.
"Move to archive" shows a confirmation listing exactly which records will be archived before anything happens 1 2 — nothing is archived until you click Submit:

- 1 Affected records — every SDS about to be archived is listed by name, so you can double-check before confirming
- 2 Submit — archives all listed records; Cancel backs out with nothing changed
"Show differences between the two SDS" opens a side-by-side table of the two records' underlying data fields (CAS number, revision date, hazard statements, disposal text, and more) wherever they differ 1 — useful for spotting when two suppliers' SDSs for a similar product diverge, or for sanity-checking that an import read the right data:

"Set custom field" only works with custom fields you've already created — pick one from the dropdown 1, enter the value, and Save applies it to every checked record 2. If you haven't created any custom fields yet, the dropdown has nothing to select:

- 1 Custom Fields dropdown — lists the custom fields already set up on your account
- 2 Save — writes the chosen value into that field on every checked record
