Create one QR code user and every employee who scans it gets instant, read-only access — no login, no account to manage. Here's the full flow, start to finish.
1 Create the QR code user
Open the QR Access page and click Create QR poster. In the dialog, set:
- Language 1 — the SDS library shows in that language for anyone who scans this code (Spanish, French, and dozens more)
- Measurement system 2 — US or Metric units
- Access 3 — leave it as Access to all SDSs for now, or restrict it to specific locations right away (see the next step for exactly what that looks like)

- 1 Language for this QR code
- 2 US / Metric measurement system
- 3 Restrict to specific locations
2 Choose what it unlocks
By default a new code has Access to all SDSs. If you manage more than one site or department, switch to Customize access 1 instead — a single poster can then be scoped to just the location it's actually posted in, so one lost or shared photo of a poster doesn't hand out access to your whole library.

- 1 Customize access — scope this code to one or a few locations
3 Print, publish, or both
Once created, the code shows up in your QR poster list 1 alongside every other one you've made, with its status, language, and whether it grants access to everything. From there, print QR poster gives you a ready-to-hang PDF, and get URL to add to your corporate intranet gives you the same access as a clickable link instead — most teams do both: a poster physically next to the chemicals, and a link on the intranet for anyone checking from a desk.

- 1 Existing QR posters, with status and quick actions
However an employee gets to it — scanning the poster or clicking the intranet link — they land straight in a read-only view of your SDS library on their own phone, searchable by product or supplier name. If you want employees to go straight to one specific product instead of searching the list, print that product a label with its own QR code — see how do I create a product label with a QR code on it? below.
Fixed: the original only mentioned "Access to all SDSs" vs "Customize access" as a single toggle. The per-code language and measurement system options, and the fact that Customize access is scoped per-location rather than being an all-or-nothing switch, are capability the old article never described.
