Can I import risk assessments from our previous system?

There's a dedicated legacy-import tool for this, though it's more limited than "import your old system" might suggest. It accepts a PDF upload only — not a spreadsheet export — and uses AI to parse each PDF and attempt to match it to the correct SDS already in your library (the match is flagged as exact, substring, or manual, and anything it couldn't confidently match is shown with an error for you to resolve by hand). It's also a temporary, customer-specific feature enabled on request, rather than something every account has access to by default.

This is meant to shortcut re-assessing chemicals you've already evaluated elsewhere, not to replace the review — treat imported entries the same as any other Draft and check them before approving.

Contact SDS Manager support if you have an existing set of risk assessments (as PDFs) to bring over, and to check whether this feature is enabled for your account.
