How can SDS Manager help us build our SDS library?

SDS Manager offers a range of ways to get your library online, all reachable from the same import screen — pick whichever matches the state your SDSs are in today 1 2 3 4 5 6:

  • 1 Search SDS Database — look products up one at a time in our 18 million+ database
  • 2 Scan Barcode — scan a product's UPC/EAN barcode to find its SDS instantly
  • 3 Scan Paper Binder — no digital copies yet? Photograph each sheet with your phone (requires a higher-tier plan)
  • 4 Import Product List — already have an XLS/CSV of products, without SDS files? (requires a higher-tier plan)
  • 5 Import SDS Files — already have SDS PDFs, a binder PDF, or a whole folder to ZIP up?
  • 6 Migrate from Other System — already using a different SDS management system? Point us at it and we'll help pull your library across

Scan Paper Binder and Import Product List require a higher-tier plan, and any of these six tabs can be individually hidden per user by an admin, so your screen may show fewer than all six.

A quick guide to which path fits your situation:

  • Already have SDS PDFs on a shared drive? See migrating a file-based library
  • Have a single combined SDS-binder PDF per location? See migrating your current SDS binder
  • Only paper copies, nothing digital? See migrating a paper-based library
  • Currently on a different SDS management system? See migrating from another vendor
  • Starting from scratch with just a spreadsheet of chemical names? See importing a spreadsheet
  • Want our team to do the work for you? See staff-assisted migration

Whichever path you take, there's no extra cost for the migration itself — it's included. See also how long setup takes if you're estimating timeline.
