How do I migrate our file-based SDS library to SDS Manager?

If your SDS PDFs already live on SharePoint or a file server, upload them directly on the Import SDS Files tab 1 — no manual data entry needed. SDS Manager reads each file and adds it to your library, fully searchable, and flags a newer revision if our database has one.

If your files are organized into folders, compress the whole folder into a ZIP file and drop it in 2. SDS Manager recreates your folder structure as locations automatically — so if you have a folder per site, building, or room, those become locations in your library without any manual setup. Files that can't be read are listed under Tasks > Products Awaiting SDS, where a higher-quality version can be found 3.

  • 2 ZIP a folder structure — SDS Manager recreates it as locations
  • 3 Unreadable files are queued under Products Awaiting SDS
