What is SDS Quality, and what does it check?

SDS Quality runs an AI-assisted compliance check on every SDS in your library against the regulatory format rules of a country you choose (shown live as "United Kingdom — UK REACH / GB CLP," with a Change country link to switch). It's explicitly labelled as AI-assisted and not a replacement for professional regulatory review.

  • 1 Change country — switches which regulation the check runs against
  • 2 Run Quality Check — starts the automated check
  • 3 Result tiles — Total / Checked / Passed / Conditional / Failed / Errors

Before running it, you can set three account-level rules the check tests against: a Company SDS age limit (in years — SDSs older than this get flagged), a list of Accepted SDS languages, and a list of Accepted emergency number prefixes (e.g. a specific country code). Each result row shows a numeric score, a Pass/Conditional/Fail/Error status, the SDS's GHS version, its age, and specific reasons when something fails — in a live test, "Wrong Country" and "Wrong Emergency #" showed up as the actual failure tags on real SDSs.

Plan limits on this feature: SDS Quality requires Premium or higher — on Free and Basic, the page isn't listed in the navigation and going to its URL directly silently redirects to the Dashboard, with no "upgrade" message shown. On Premium, checks are capped: the page shows a banner reading "Your Premium plan includes quality checks for up to 5 SDSs. Upgrade to Pro to run quality checks on all SDSs in your library," and once that cap is reached the "Run Quality Check" button becomes disabled (with no explanatory tooltip on hover). Based on live testing, that cap reads as a cumulative count of distinct SDSs ever checked, not a monthly or annual allowance — an account that had already checked 9 SDSs while on a higher plan stayed capped-out after being moved back to Premium, with the same check results still showing. On Pro and above, the cap and banner disappear entirely and the button is always active. In every case, a check only ever runs when someone clicks Run Quality Check — nothing here runs automatically or on a schedule.
