There's a toggle for this. On the SDS where newer version exists page (Tasks in the sidebar), a switch labelled "Automatically update SDS to new versions" sits above the list of SDSs with pending supplier updates. The same page also lets you filter to just SDSs with a requested new version, dismissed upgrade notifications, or ones flagged as needing your personal review before the new version is accepted. Each row also has its own "Assign upgrade reviewer" dropdown, so instead of relying on auto-pilot or reviewing it yourself, you can hand off a specific pending revision to a named teammate to check before it's accepted.
The same toggle also appears in Settings under "Automatically update SDS to new versions," with this tooltip: "Automatically replaces an SDS in your library with the latest version when SDS Manager has a new version available... When ON, outdated SDSs are automatically upgraded. When OFF, you receive notifications about new versions but must manually update." Leave it off if you need to check or re-evaluate risk on a new revision before it replaces the old one.
