How do I use the SDS Manager MCP with my AI agent?

SDS Manager provides an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server — think of it as giving your AI assistant a set of keys to your SDS library. It works with Claude (via Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Cowork), ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, and other MCP-compatible clients, and is available on Premium, Pro, and Enterprise plans.

1 Get your API key

1. Log in at inventory.stage.sdsmanager.com
2. Go to Account Settings → Chat AI Agent
3. Click the copy icon next to the key field

2 Connect your agent

Use MCP server URL https://sds-mcp.stage.sdsmanager.com/support/mcp, transport type Streamable HTTP, with no separate auth step — you log in through a browser link the first time, and your API key is never sent through the AI agent's own servers.

3 What it can do

• Search across 18 million+ SDSs, with a web-search fallback if nothing matches
• Add SDSs from multiple sources, or import a product list from Excel (best for 50+ products at once)
• Manage locations and products — move, copy, or archive items
• View hazardous substances and activity logs

To get started, just ask your agent: "Help me get started." If a session expires, say "Login again."

All actions your AI agent takes are logged in your account's activity history, the same as if a person had made the change.
